Description

The rapid Soft Selection Manager is a tool for managing soft selections. You can store, add, subtract, multiply and divide soft selections, based on their values. You can even copy soft selection values between objects, based on their vertex indices. This script is free to use, and will be the part of the rapidTools toolset, with other useful scripts.

Features:

  • Store and Delete Soft Selections
  • make operations based on the vertex soft selection values,
  • copy soft selection values from one object to another, based on their vertex indices

Additional Info

This is a script made by fun, that might be useful in certain situations. The usage of the script is limited, try not to use it on very high poly objects. (It's because of mxs's user properties limitations)

As soon as I get home (which is two weeks), I will try to make this option for you. ;)

Changing topology of the mesh breaks stored selection. Only way to restore it use instead of indices vertex position (mostly world).

It is possible of course

It is possible to do this, but I can't really see the point. Is there an advantage of that solution, or why it should be better anyway? :)

Hi! Useful tool! But, can you add ability to store vertexes world position and option use it instead of indices to retrieve stored soft selection data?
