Arrow Size and fill object

scriptspace · 2020-04-02

I need this arrowhead as a fill object with all edit features including a spinner to control arrow size also when I create arrow from the custom shape it needs to build upon spline not far form spline.
If possible please help me...
I have created spinner for that and working on this script but didn't understand how to do this so far...

Shape request ?

rigged · 2018-01-09

Hi Lord,

Can you do a shape request script ?

This 'Wide flange' shape in Extended splines in max; can you make its flange and body thickness independent into seperated spinner-thickness ?
Would be nice if this goes for the 'WRectangle', 'Angle', 'T' and 'Channel' shapes as well.

Tnx

Object disappear when copying

Hey, thanks for this awesome script. I'm using this as a base for my scripted house. I'm having a problem whenever i copy the primitive it disapears. Do you know why it happens and if there was a work around. Thanks for sharing your scripts with the world.

Hey
It is just a coincidence I was thinking of suggesting you and I saw you gave custom option... :D

great work

Would u be interested in making this Arrow plugind more sphisticated and pro?

Regards

Depends - tell me what you're missing. I definitely want to keep it simple, no unnecessary features / visual bloat.

If you're on max 2016, install service pack 2. If you have lower max version, it won't work, there's no simpleSpline class.

Problem

rd3d · 2016-01-22

Thank you.
I've got the same problem as Erro, error.
Is it possible to have a script which generate arrow measure automatically when we select an object ?
Thanks a lot

goob job

jonahhawk · 2015-12-19

Super Cool!
I'm always creating these from scratch. I'm not super familiar with scripted plugins. Is it possible to make the params animateable? I tried animating them, it made keys but the shape does not update.

Try now

Swordslayer · 2015-12-19

It should be fixed but I didn't test it thouroughly.

thank you its nice script , but i got error message:

Only 3ds Max 2016 SP2.1+

Swordslayer · 2015-12-17

Look at the version requirement, before this version there was no way to make new scripted shape primitives, you could only extend existing ones (i.e. only access and modify the parameters they expose).

obaida · 2015-12-17

sorry my mistake , thank you for notifying , anyway you making very usefull scripts , thank you for your effort .

Love it!

Silver3D · 2015-12-16

Thanks, very nice script, i love it! :D

Very nice

Lande3D · 2015-12-15

Another very useful scripted object. Only changes i can suggest is to add the option to pick a spline from the scene to use as the basis of the shape
example usage:
create a cylinder. Inset the cap twice. Select the loop created by the first inset. Deselect a single edge and create shape from selection.
Start your arrow primitive. Pick shape now you have an arrow arc that fits on top of the cylinder.

Custom arrow shapes are now possible

Swordslayer · 2015-12-21

Most probably not the way you wanted it but definitely more versatile.

Lande3D · 2015-12-22

i dunno if you where answering me or not but this was exactly how i was emagining/wanted it:-P but also with extra functionality i didnt think of. cudos
