vector rendering (of perpective wireframe views)

By diamadis · 2012-05-25

Description

Hey guys!

I 'm new here so I don't know if it already exists... I have been wondering if there is any plug-in that can produce vector renders (from wireframe messes) in 3ds max just like the vector renderer in Maya.

I once came across the "illustrate!" plugin but it's too expensive to get it

Thanks in advance for any info!

Best plugin for max:
1.cebas FinalToon
http://www.cebas.com/index.php?pid=product&prd_id=136&feature=1283
2.Electric Rain Swift
http://www.erain.com/products/plug-ins/
3.Illustrate!
http://www.davidgould.com/Illustrate/
Theses are commercial plugins.
Free tool for doing vector renders don't exist.
but you can always improvise using the following technique:
-- use Ink'n'Paint material for your scene.
-- do some renders
-- open the render images in Corel DRAW or Adobe Illustrator
and do "trace" (raster-to-vector conversion).
On the internet you can find other packages (cheaper) that converts raster images into vector drawings.
Cheers!
