Detach Spline with (Copy) option

Hi , I just want to ask if there is away to add copy option in the Detach spline/segment subobject in Editspline/Editablespline similar to the option in Edit poly .
because i assign keyboard shortcut to Detach and alwayes wondering if i check (copy) or dindn't , and have to recheck everytime
