Design Pricing by Material and Object Volume

Hi Scripters

I'm looking for a Custom Maxscript which may function as somewhat of a simplified BIM for 3ds Max.

Overview of the Concept:

I design custom furniture and exhibit design assets. I make custom materials in the material editor. I want to set a unit price for each material, as such that when I apply it to an object it multiplies the unit price by the volume of the object and places it neatly on a table.
