Looking for Advises how to store variables after the 3ds max closing ?

Hello,

I'm starting with maxscript and i would like to be able to store variables after the 3ds max closing.

I'm working on a gestion lights script. (make groupe of light, disable somes groupes, render only somme passes, ect...)

The script work but each time i open 3ds max, i have to restart sript and redo groups again.

I'm have no idea where i should start my "research". (write in a txt file ?)
