Highlight selected object in Layer Manager

Hi all,

I'd like to know if anyone has an idea how to to the following thing

After having selected an object in the animation viewport I would like this object to be highlighted in the Layer Manager in order to find it more rapidly.
In the Layer Manager there is a button called "highlight selected object's layer" but the there's no way to highlight the object itself.

The Outliner has this functionality.. But no idea for the layer manager
