I am an animator but I need to learn maxscript so I can really get the most out of max. I wanted to know if there are any books which any of you veterans would recommend for a newbie at scripting.

hi, u should learn by The MaxScript Reference included in Max Help, there's no Better for any level.I start with, and i still work with it.

i used the 3ds max 8 maxscript essential ... it's a good way to start and the max reference will help you along the way !

there 2 book on maxscript to my knowledge.
3ds max 8 maxscript essential
and another one focus on maxscript AND max SDK.
thats all. i know there not much choice.
But the help file is still the best reference.
