Whenever you have a numeric field in 3DS Max, you can use a nice little feature called Numerical Expression Evaluator. Just click inside that field and press CTRL+N to open Numerical Expression Evaluator Dialog.

This is the advice I need. I was creating a 3D model for a personal statement writing service (my freelance job on the side) and couldn't deal with numeric fields. I mean, I could but it was time-consuming. The deadline had to be in forty minutes and I, fortunately, found this tutorial.
