Description

Simple and Powerful

Max Render Layer will save you a lot of time when rendering passes. You will be able to intuitively set different materials, object properties, light properties, render setup and more without duplicating objects. With one click you fire the render of all passes at once, just like magic!

stay away from this script!!

this script has completely screwed up my max installation. It continues to modify material settings long after I created, and deleted render layers with it. New objects, new materials, doesnt matter. It even switched settings on objects I didnt even mean to affect. I cant get the affects of this script to stop. new scenes are affected too. I emailed the author to get a solution, no answer. Looks like a full reinstall will be unavoidable since I cant find where the script's files reside, it was installed via .mzp.

hope I help someone else avoid this buggy script.

I noticed that and it works very well with any changes with VRay materials, lights,...etc but when I want to assign VRay physical camera to render layer, It couldn't detect it, only detect normal max camera.

V.1.11
Now Max Render Layer detects VRay cameras!
Thanks Mustafa for the feedback.

Q?

mustafa mamdouh · 2011-09-29

Is it compatible with vray?

alancamilo · 2011-10-03

It's built using Max core functions, so I strongly believe there is no limitation using vray or anything whatsoever.
