There’s already a lot of PRS randomizer tool available in maxscript, but what I found missing the most was a real time visualization of the randomized transformations applied. Video available in the full post.
Fast Positioning Tool add this interactivity : it has an "operate" state during which you choose the amount of randomization you want visually, instead of generating a new seed and waiting for a good result to show up. Once you quit this state, the new transformations are applied (to avoid deleting the undo history).
It also adds two others tools : some kind of a Z-drop, and attraction/repulsion from a center node.
