To Install: 1- Extract the file, you'll see a .mzp file named: CopyPaste_v1.5.mzp 2- Right-Click the .mzp file, go to Properties and make sure there is no Unblok option, if there is one, then check it, click Apply and Ok. 3- Drag the mzp file into Max's viewport. A window will show up telling you the script is installed To create a button: 1-Go to Customize menu, Customize User Interface, Toolbars tab, in the Category look for MiRi-Tools category 2-Click New... to create a new toolbar, name it as you like, presse Ok, Drag the script named CopyPaste to the new toolbar button. Now you can place it on the main toolbar. Update v1.5: 1- Now you can copy and paste using a base point 2- A button is added to clear the cache file containing the copied objects. Will save space on your hard drive(=>Nothing to paste anymore). 3- A status bar is added to give you live feedback whenever you click a button. To Use: Launch the script. If you want to copy objects then, first, select objects, If you want to copy with base point then check the option 'Use Base Point, Otherwise leave the option unchecked and press 'Copy' If the 'Use Base Point' is checked you'll be asked to pick a point in the scene After picking the point the objects will be copied. To paste objects, in the same same Max file or in another opened Max file, Then, if you want to paste in the original place, leave the 'Use Base Point' unchecked And press 'Paste', otherwise, check the option 'Use Base Point' and click 'Paste' You'll be asked to pick a point in the scene, when you pick it the objects will be pasted If you want to clear the cache file(the copied file) to save space on your hard drive Then press the 'Clear Cache' button. Keep an eye on the 'Status' section to see a feedback when you press any button. To Uninstall the first version: 1- Close 3DS Max 2- Go to: C:\Users\YouUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20xx - 64bit\ENU\usermacros 3- Delete those two files: MiRi_Tools-CopyObjects.mcr and MiRi_Tools-PasteObjects.mcr To Uninstall the current V.15: Same first 2 steps, but in step 3 you'll only need to delete a single file called: MiRi_Tools-CopyPaste.mcr The plugin is created by: Miled Rizk e-mail: miledrizk@gmail.com
